We are Crafty Cuts Raglan, New Zealand.
Markus Kunath has been crafting cabinetry and furniture in Raglan since 2001. Working directly with both clients and architects, Markus has earned a reputation for his care in both design and quality, and his responsive follow-up service.
With his design degree completed in 1997, Markus spent four years learning traditional furniture making in his home country of Germany.
A tip from a friend in 2001 saw him apply for a joinery-making position in Raglan, New Zealand. He’s made the seaside town his home, loving the natural environment alongside great access to a range of natural, solid timber.
”I love working with sustainably-grown or recycled timber and low-VOC plywood. Quality products like these are healthier for people and the planet, and will last a lifetime.
“I enjoy the whole process of furniture and cabinetry design. From meeting clients and coming up with a design together. To the process of manufacturing and installing. And finally, seeing happy clients with a functional and beautiful space. It makes my day.”
